Grants Associate

Dahyane Galindo (Day)

She/Her

I am a dedicated professional with experience working with civil society organizations and international donors in the social justice field. Born, raised, and based in Mexico, my background spans grantmaking support, research, and program coordination, with a focus on human rights and gender justice.

Before joining DRF/DRAF in 2025, I worked at the Ford Foundation, where I supported the Civic Engagement and Government International Program and the Mexico and Central America Office. My responsibilities included logistical and programmatic support, organizing convenings, tracking grants, preparing research documents, and contributing to cross-regional strategies. Previously, I also worked on a USAID-funded human rights initiative in Mexico, where I supported grant administration and due diligence processes, carried out research tasks, prepared technical documentation, and helped facilitate partnerships with collectives, CSOs, and public institutions.

I hold a BA in International Relations and am currently pursuing an MA in Human Rights. In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods, embroidering, and spending time with family and friends. I am also the beloved human of Rupy, my loyal little Maltese dog.
